King For A Day

On sunday I was the king's legs!
Wearing one of he puppets made by the Liverpool Lantern Company I became king George for a few stints. The royal visit saw crowds of a few thousand loyal subjects set off to gander through the mersey tunnel. They were waved away by the king and queen who's real (human) counterparts kindly opened the tunnel 75 years ago for the enjoyment and convenience of the grubby populace.

The puppet royals waved and shook hands with people, they were introduced by none other than Kieth Chegwin, who descended from the heady heights of celebritydom to speak to the people of liverpool as they tried to remain cheerfull in the rain.
